The file 'UltraViewer_setup_5.0_en.exe' has been determined to be 'FALSE POSITIVE'. We're working hard to fighting about this, this is a report of Avira after request a full analysis: Because the main feature of the software is for remote controlling, sometime it mistakenly flagged as malware from some antivirus software but it's actually not a malware. I have been using ultraviewer, as teamviewer now wants to charge me, which for the very limited use may be 8 times a month - cannot warrant the price - they wanted £700 a year

Does have a text chat feature though for whatever thats worth.Įdited by amn70, 14 January 2016 - 12:33 PM. So not an great alternative to Teamviewer for doing major remote tech support but good for someone who just needs basic remote functionality. No ability to do remote reboots and such. Once I activated a remote session with them I found it to work fine but its pretty basic compared to Teamviewer. I ran a Malwarebytes scan just to see if it would recognize any exploits after the installation and it was clean so thats good too. It does not appear to have an unattended access feature so I suspect once the application is closed they would be unable to somehow exploit it using the server generated ID number. I just installed ultraviewer on some test machines. While I am sure it is abused by spammers the product itself appears to be legit.

Its a bulk emailer that appears to have been around for 4 years. Some further digging and I found that they are the producers of another product.
